Entry Path to the Engineering Profession

Regular Program

The regular PPI IPB is open to engineering or applied engineering graduates. In addition, the regular program is also open to graduates of Bachelor of Science and Bachelor of Engineering Education who have been equated with Bachelor of Engineering qualifications (i.e., equivalent to more than 3 years of practical experience). The equivalency program is a process of matching and integrating learning outcomes obtained through education, job training, and work experience for Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Science education organized by PPI IPB. Learning in the regular program is carried out over 2 semesters. The learning process includes lectures, tutorials, FGDs which are mostly conducted online , reading assignments, engineering practices and case studies, reporting and seminars.

IPB’s Professional Engineering Program offers 7 engineering fields, namely:

  1. Agriculture and Agricultural Products
  2. Fisheries and Maritime Affairs
  3. Farm
  4. Forestry
  5. Agricultural Industry
  6. Civil and Environmental
  7. Applied Science

Condition

  1. Physically and mentally healthy, free from narcotics, psychotropics and addictive substances
  2. Have academic qualifications:
    • bachelor’s degree in engineering or applied bachelor’s degree in engineering; or
    • Bachelor of Engineering Education or Bachelor of Science which is equivalent to Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Applied Engineering through an equivalency program.
  3. Comes from a university and study program that has a minimum accreditation of B (Very Good) or C (Good) with a minimum GPA of 3.0 or comes from a foreign university registered with the Directorate General of Higher Education.

Prospective participants are required to complete the following documents:

  1. Bachelor’s and Master’s/Doctoral degrees (if any). Degrees from foreign universities must be certified by the Ministry of Research, Technology, and Higher Education.
  2. Transcripts of undergraduate and postgraduate education (if any).
  3. Letter of commitment to pay tuition fees. The Willingness to Cover Costs Form can be downloaded here .
  4. A letter of permission from your manager if you are working. The Study Permit Statement Form can be downloaded here .
  5. Letter of recommendation. The form can be downloaded here .
  6. Recent passport photo with white background with clothing requirements: Men: Dark colored jacket & tie; Women: Dark colored jacket/blazer & light colored hijab (for those who wear it).

Registration Fee/Program Fee:

In order to improve the quality of service and to ensure the smooth running of education for students of the Professional Engineering Education Program, the following are the components of the Education Costs for Students of the Professional Engineering Education Program in accordance with Rector’s Decree Number 10 of 2021:

  • For Students through the Regular Program :
    1. Registration fee of IDR 1,000,000 (one million rupiah) per student;
    2. Education costs of IDR 10,000,000 (ten million rupiah) per student per semester; and
    3. The cost of taking the oath is IDR 525,000 (five hundred twenty five thousand rupiah) per student;
